In March (yes, that long ago), I started to knit a pair of socks.
After some consideration I decided to use the Clydebank colourway of Skein Queen yarn.
As you can see in the photo above, it's a neutral with speckles of black and brown and it even has tiny sprinkles of red.
I do like a nice centre-pull ball.
I borrowed this idea from Stephanie Butland, who casts on what she calls a ThinkSock when she is working out the tussles and weave at the plotting stage of novel-writing. It's just a vanilla sock, so I can knit road and round and round, and think about "my people".
It's working. I've been chatting to them for a while now, and they are starting to talk back to me!
