Writers at the Fringe

  • Blackwell's

Blackwell's Bookshop in Edinburgh host Writers on the Fringe every year. This is (I think) the tenth annual event, and I'll be there on the 24th August.

The event will start at 6pm on the dot.

Each author gets 15 minutes to fill as they wish. Most authors say a few words about what inspired them to write, what the book is about and then read a passage.

Blackwell's expect an audience of 40 to 60 people each night. The event is free but ticketed, and tickets can be booked by emailing events.edinburgh@blackwell.co.uk or by phoning 0131 622 8222.

Tickets are also available from the Fringe website https://tickets.edfringe.com/whats-on/blackwell-s-writers-at-the-fringe

or on Eventbrite https://writersatthefringe17.eventbrite.co.uk

They would never turn anyone away who did not have a ticket - there's always space for one more, but PLEASE book!

The event is live for booking now. I look forward to seeing you there.

Waterstones: Glasgow Byres Road

  • Waterstones

I'll be at Waterstones on Byres Road in Glasgow on Wednesday evening.
The excellent Ian Skewis will be asking me about The Sewing Machine, and I hope to meet as many people as possible.
There will be cake!
There will be wine too, but cake is better.

Radio Scotland

I'm going to be interviewed on the Janice Forsyth Show on BBC Radio Scotland on Monday 10th July 2017.
The programme is on air from 14:00 - 16:00 and I think my interview is between 14:40 and 15:00.
I will update as I hear more.
